News > February 23, 2009 – Another Blanchard for Microblade Microblade needed another Blanchard. Their Lumsden grinders simply could not keep up with the flat and rough bevel work as their production increased. Cash Masters – Kinetic’s Vice-President of Operations – was carefully watching auction circulars and machinery dealer offerings until he saw just was he was looking for: a 36” [915mm] diameter chuck fitted with UK electrics. Obviously a find in the United States. After some hard negotiations Cash bought the machine and had it completely rebuilt including having the spindle bearing replaced, all bearing surfaces either ground or re-scraped, and a new feed screw and nut. It is fitted with an 18” [457mm] segmented chuck. Since we feel that pride in your machine results in pride in your work we had the machine repainted in the traditional Blanchard green color. |
