With a deep sense of sadness the Board of Directors announces the death of Kinetic’s retired Chairman of the Board - Emily Masters - on January 1, 2007. Emily died quietly in her sleep at 2:05am.

Emily suffered a stroke on December 22, 2006 and never recovered.

Emily was the wife behind the entrepreneur C. L. Masters as he started Kinetic after World War II. She acted as his sounding board and confidant. Every family dinner was a “board meeting” where business was always discussed and debated.

After C.L.’s death in 1970 Emily resumed an active role in the company involving herself in sales, administration and human relations. As she grew older she left her daily role but kept involved as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

In 2004 age caused her to resign as Chairman of the Board. In recognition of her years of service and dedication the Board appointed her lifetime Honorary Chairman of the Board.

She took a deep sense of pride that Kinetic has remained a “family’ company and was especially proud of her grandsons’ Cash and Jared’s involvement and supported their promotions to Company Vice-Presidents. She enjoyed watching the company grow both in Greendale and with its acquisition of Microblade Limited in Sheffield, England.

Her wisdom and advice will be missed by everyone at Kinetic.
