Each anvil is precision ground with true corner radii to ensure accurate perforation of your product’s web and provide maximum perforation blade life.

The materials that we use in the manufacture of our fly knives include MM high-speed steel and Ultra-Wear Particle Metallurgy material. We continually improve our products to provide our customers with the best blades in the industry. Kinetic has developed a Split Bottom Slitter design to replace Bottom Slitter Bands directly mounted to a shaft. The new design allows for easy removal and replacement of bands without having to disassemble the shaft and remove other Bottom Slitter Bands from it. This split design is another way Kinetic saves customers time and money while improving their productivity.

• Thru-hardened to enhance wear resistance and toughness.
• Precision machined, finish ground and super finished to provide minimum lateral runout and excellent concentricity, while enhancing the performance of the top shear slitter blade used against the bands.
• Use of D-2 and/or tungsten carbide eliminates frequent regrinding, saving your time and protecting your knife investment.

Our Hardened Sleeves are made from thru-hardened tool steels heat-treated 2-4 points harder than the score slitter or crush slitters against them to ensure maximum service live. And, because Kinetic hardened sleeves are thru-hardened rather than surface hardened, they can be reground or resurfaced many times to extend their service life.

• Inside diameters are sized to perfectly match the specifications of your shaft.
• Ends are manufactured to be perpendicular or squared to within .001” (0.025 mm) to provide a perfect, “seamless” fit.

We offer materials ranging from D-2 high-carbon, high-chrome tool steel, T-1 and T-15 super-high speed steels, Ultra-Wear Particle Metallurgy material and tungsten carbide. Our on-staff company experts can help select the material most appropriate for your specific operation.

Granulating Blades
Kinetic’s blades for granulating plastic products are made from the finest steels available. Experienced metallurgists tailor each blade to your plastics manufacturing process, with knife material selected on the basis of your machinery and the plastic you cut. Long Shear Blades
No blade is too long for Kinetic
Kinetic can make shear blades up to 190” (4826mm) for any shearing application ranging from pickle line shearing to 2” (51mm) thick plate to hot crop shearing. We match the material and heat treatment to your specific application

Scrap Choppers
Tough blades for tough jobs.
Scrap Chopping blades have to be tough. They take more abuse than any other knife in the line. We offer Scrap Choppers in a variety of materials that live up to the Kinetic name. At the same time, our heat-treating methods enhance the toughness and wear resistance in our flying shear and crop shear blades.

As an added benefit, Kinetic’s thru-hardening heat treatment will allow Scrap Chopping knives to be resharpened without any change in hardness until your specific scrap size is reached.

What’s more, Kinetic NOgrind™ Side Trimmers are not ground on any surface during manufacture or when they come back for our exclusive resharpening procedure. Your worn side trimmer is returned as good as new!

Small Shear Blade

Our Small Shear Blades are manufactured from a variety of materials to meet the most demanding specifications. Whether your product is hot or cold, plate, sheet or bar, Kinetic can produce the right blade in the right configuration for your needs.

Typical rectangular blades include:

From small diameter specialty tubing to large O.D. line pipe, we have a cut-off knife for your production needs. Kinetic manufactures cut-off blades in all grades and sizes. For example:
